Pharmaceutical market research expert joins VSI board of directors

(ANAHEIM, CA) – On May 18, 2011, VSI welcomed Ruchi Varshneya as the newest member of the organization’s board of directors. Ruchi is currently Director of Global Market Research and Competitive Intelligence at Abbott Laboratories in California. Her previous experience includes marketing research for health technologies and business analytics at global companies Procter & Gamble and Bristol-Myers Squibb.

Ruchi completed her undergraduate studies in electrical engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology in Roorkee, India, and an MBA at XLRI in Jamshedpur, India. In addition to her work at Abbott Laboratories, she is currently pursuing a master of public health at Johns Hopkins University.

“Ruchi has a personal commitment to helping people in developing countries and is very excited to become a part of VSI,” said VSI President/CEO Melodie Holden. “We are equally excited to learn from her international pharmaceutical expertise.”
